Since 1998, YWCA Dayton has set aside one special day to recognize and honor women in our community. We celebrate Dayton’s most influential women, all of whom have made a difference in our community through their dedication to the YWCA mission of empowering women, eliminating racism and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Each October, YWCA Dayton recognizes the strength and resilience of domestic violence survivors at a special fundraising event to support YWCA Dayton’s domestic violence shelter and support services, including our 24-hour crisis hotline.

This annual fundraiser features a pet showcase and highlights thestrong links between domestic violence survivors and their pets. Proceeds benefit Preble County’s only domestic violence shelter and 24/7 crisis hotline (937-456-6891).

The community is invited each year to attend the annual meeting of the YWCA Dayton Board of Directors to hear updates on critical programs and our community impact.

Our Corks for Camp wine nights in Preble and Montgomery counties raise funds to send girls to YWCA Dayton’s empowering summer camp.

YWCA Dayton is on the forefront of social justice movements and regularly brings the community together to build awareness on pressing issues.
