Give the Gift of Empowerment

To our YWCA Dayton supporters,

It has been six months since I said yes to my new appointment as President & CEO of YWCA Dayton.

In these six months, I have seen the widespread crisis of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking.

Our team has seen a pregnant woman come to our doors, after calling our hotline, afraid for her safety and with nowhere to go. We’ve seen a woman found collapsed after her partner withheld food. We’ve seen domestic violence lead to a woman living homeless for over year, unsure how to get back on her feet or process her trauma.

Each day, I see women, children, and families seeking peace, justice, and freedom.

And each day, I see how YWCA Dayton staff empower our clients to reach their goals and live the life they deserve.

Thanks to your support, we were able to help the pregnant woman find housing assistance and empower her to be the mom she was always able to be. We were able to empower the woman who was too weak to walk to find safety and realize her strength. We were able to house the woman experiencing homeless, empowering her to live freely and independently through our Permanent Supportive Housing program.

YWCA Dayton empowers women, girls and families. And your gift is what empowers us.

As we close out 2023, we are asking you to Give The Gift of Empowerment and help us keep this critical work going.

From all of us at the YW, thank you for your financial support and generosity. May your holiday season be filled with abundant peace and overflowing joy.

Sincerely,

Terra F. Williams

YWCA Dayton President & CEO
