We are here in our right now; be On a Mission with us. If you, too, are dedicated to eliminating racism; to empowering women; to promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all — volunteering your time as a member of our Advocacy Committee is one way to put that passion into real, local action.

This committee serves to support the mission of YWCA to eliminate racism and empower women by identifying issues, gathering information, developing policies, and facilitating action in order to bring about social change.

Successful committee members embody a commitment to YWCA’s mission, goals, and programs; have knowledge of the local community; have the ability to analyze information on issues; and can communicate clearly. This committee reports directly to YWCA Dayton’s Board of Directors. Its chair is a member of the Board; members of the committee include Board and non-Board persons.
