Background Check Services
Are you an individual in need of a background check before starting a new job or volunteer position? Are you a nonprofit looking for fast and economical background check services? Are you a business looking for speedy employee background checks that also benefit critical community services? You’ve come to the right place!
Many public and private employers require background checks for employment purposes. State law mandates that schools, day care centers, health care facilities, and others require such checks as part of the hiring process. Some individuals are also required to have a background check to obtain professional licensure. A background check will investigate a candidate’s background based on criteria determined by their prospective or current employer. A check of a candidate’s background may include employment, education, criminal records, credit history, motor vehicle and license record checks.
YWCA Dayton offers background check services for the greater Dayton area that are done quickly, easily, and at a nominal rate, with 100% of proceeds benefiting YW’s 24/7 shelter and housing programs as well as youth leadership, prevention education, and social justice advocacy efforts. Checks are available on Tuesdays between noon and 6 p.m. and on Wednesdays between 2 and 5 p.m. Appointments must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
