Purple Paws: Preble Pets Against Domestic Violence

Join us Oct. 1 in historic downtown Eaton for the 7th annual Purple Paws: Preble Pets Against Domestic Violence, presented by Parker Hannifin.

Bring your pet to compete in the Parker Hannifin Pet Showcase for prizes for “Twinning” (pet and owner lookalikes), Most “Not Dog,” Best Trick, People’s Choice and Best in Show.

Everyone who gives, supports, and joins us for our award-winning signature fundraiser helps benefit Preble County’s only domestic violence shelter and 24/7 crisis hotline (937-456-6891).

This year we are partnering with Downtown Eaton Inc., which will also be holding the Fall Food Truck Fest & Craft Show. While you’re downtown for the Pet Showcase, bring the family to grab some lunch and shop for locally made crafts.

WHEN: Noon to 2 p.m., Saturday Oct. 1, 2022

WHERE: Historic Downtown Eaton, corner of Routes 127 & 35

COST: Free admission, $10 to register your pet (includes bandana)

About YWCA Dayton: Preble County Office

YWCA Dayton operates the only domestic violence shelter in Preble County.

66 shelter clients were served in 2021, including 31 children. That’s an 18% year over year increase.
55 people attended 34 support groups.
We received 241 crisis hotline calls, with a 99% call satisfaction rate.
We provided more than 2,528 nights of stay including more than 2,640 hours of case management.
