Y-Dub Discussions: YWCA is On a Mission @ Eaton Library

It’s the first-ever Y-Dub Discussions in and for Preble County! This community dialogue series event, held during YWCA USA’s Week Without Violence campaign, will dive in to the intersectional YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women: what do they have to do with each other? Why are both important? How do our programs and services live this out? And how can the community join us On a Mission?

YWCA Dayton is on a mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Previous Y-Dub Discussion topics have included School Board 101, which raised awareness for issues facing local schools, including the effects of trauma within the classroom; Recognizing Childhood Trauma, which explored toxic stress and the effects of lived trauma on our community systems;  YWomen Vote, which unpacked results of YWCA USA’s “What Women Want” report and looked at the political marginalization of women of color; and Voting on a Mission, which explored trauma-informed voter engagemenet.
