Homeless Crisis Response Program (HCRP) & Rapid Rehousing

The Homeless Crisis Response Program (HCRP), funded through state and local Emergency Solutions Grant funding, is designed to prevent individuals and families from entering homelessness and, where homelessness does occur, to rapidly move persons from emergency shelter into permanent housing.

Rapid re-housing is an intervention designed to help individuals and families that don’t need intensive and ongoing supports to quickly exit homelessness and return to permanent housing. Rapid re-housing assistance is offered without preconditions — like employment, income, absence of criminal record, or sobriety — and the resources and services provided are tailored to the unique needs of the household.

YWCA Dayton HCRP and Rapid Rehousing services include:

  • Case management at intake
  • Income assessments
  • Housing and utility assistance
  • Employment assistance & job readiness resources
  • Safety planning
  • Referrals for counseling and other community resources
  • Follow-up care

YWCA Dayton’s HCRP and Rapid Rehousing programs are available to:

  • Vulnerable populations with no alternate housing options
  • Those fleeing domestic violence
  • Individuals who reside in an emergency shelter
  • Households with income below 30% AMI (Area Median Income)
