YWCA Dayton is able to thrive because of the kind support of our volunteers. YWCA Dayton relies on volunteers to help fulfill daily, weekly and monthly tasks of the organization. YWCA Dayton is currently in need of volunteers to help in both direct and indirect service capacities. Whether you are interested in children, cooking or clerical work, YWCA Dayton has the volunteer opportunity for you!
Current needs include the following…
Community Partners act as agency representatives at community events by providing general information about YWCA Dayton and our various service areas including: domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking.
Donations Sorter sorts, organizes and stores in-kind donations in Hope’s Closet and other general donations that come into the YWCA Dayton.
Donation Drive volunteers organize a donation drive
with their organization, neighbors or church group, utilizing the YWCA
Dayton’s Wish List (year-round), Shelter Wish List (year-round), Food
Drive Donation List (year- round), Household Cleaning Supplies Donation
Drive List (Jan-Jun), Back to School Wish List (Jul-Sep) or Holiday Wish
Special Events Assistants YWCA Dayton hosts seven special events each year to raise awareness of, and funds for, its critical service areas and advocacy efforts. We need helpers to greet and check-in guests, assist with location setup and tear-down, provide directions, and more.
Welcome Baskets Volunteer Groups are welcome to assist in creating Welcome Home Baskets for women and children entering YWCA housing and/or shelter, and also for women transitioning to permanent housing in the community. Groups would provide baskets for this project; other items come from donations stored at YWCA.
If you are interested in helping YWCA Dayton with any of these volunteer opportunities, please contact the Volunteer Line at (937) 461-5550 x108 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
