40 years of shelter

But YW knew there was a better solution to keeping women safe, and on July 18, 1977, it opened its first domestic violence shelter.

Help starts with a call

Education for the future

On May 19, Girls Inc. of YWCA Dayton held its first-ever College Signing Day celebration to recognize the academic achievements of the program’s graduating senior, Lakesha Fountain. Starting this fall, she will be attending the University of Dayton as a biology major, with plans to become a teacher.
